Adopt this dog

Adopt Buddy Buddy is a stray dog we found a week and a half ago. He was wandering up and down the road a few days before we picked him up. He was very skinny and a bit dehydrated. Buddy is a boxer/pit mix. He is a neutered male and approximately 2- 3 years old. He has an appointment with the vet coming up to get an exam and vaccines. We have tried to find his owner with no success, we believe he was abandoned alongside the road. He has been living in our garage because we have 2 dogs that are dog aggressive. He doesn't seem dog aggressive himself but I can't let him be with my dogs because they are. They will growl and bark at him through the gate and he just wags his tail and seems to want to play. He does come in the kitchen when supervised. He is leery of men at first but warms up to them.

Buddy has a lot of energy. I believe it's because he was abandoned and he is desperate for attention. Once he settles down he will lay down next to you. He loves to be cuddled and petted. He has learned to sit and lay down since he has been with us and will also sit before he gets fed. He loves to chew on big bones and loves toys, and likes going for car rides. He just wants someone to love him and care for him. He wants to please you in whatever way he can. We will continue working with him until he finds someone to love!

Buddy desperately needs a forever home. He will be forever grateful by giving you eternal love, kisses and cuddles.

9 years old

Lola was my dad's dog. He passed in June and we have been working with her. She was a farm dog, always caged outside and crated indoors. No real training but learns fast. She has a history of aggression towards female dogs, is with a male dog now and gets very well but dominant at playtimes. I honestly think it would be best for her to be the only dog.

She has extreme separation anxiety, is very clingy and emotional. Losing the only owner she has known contributed, but she was like this before too.

Has a strong hunting/tracking instinct, is okay with the cats that were in the house when she got here but attacked a 16 yr old cat that we brought in afterwards.

Even though it doesn't look it from what I wrote above, she is a sweetheart, walks great on the leash, can walk for ages and wants to please. Loves attention, enjoys being brushed and is doing great being housetrained. She took a while to be brave enough to get on the couch but has mastered it and is so proud of herself now. She does enjoy tearing up toys which can get expensive (yay for BarkBox)
